Gerome Warburton Outworks Heaney To Close In On World Title Dream

Photo Credit: Alex Livesey Colwyn Bay's Gerome Warburton marked his long-awaited return to the ring with an impressive win over the popular Nathan Heaney on Saturday night.  'The Bread Maker' defeated Heaney via unanimous decision at the conclusion of their clash at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester to claim the WBA Continental middleweight title.  Heaney started the fight well but Warburton eventually took control in the middle rounds and ultimately proved himself to be the deserved winner on the night.  The former Welsh middleweight champion is now expected to secure himself an official world ranking with the WBA which could generate a number of interesting opportunities for the 30-year-old.  Despite this, Warburton could instead be tempted by the prospect of securing himself another shot at the British Middleweight title, which is currently held by the unbeaten George Liddard.  Warburton challenged Kieron Conway for the British and Commonwealth middleweight ...

Carvell Crocker Captures Commonwealth Title With Huge Away Win

Eddie Hearn Provides An Update On Joe Cordina vs Abdullah Mason Title Fight

Joshua John Closing In On Dream British Title Shot

Photo Credit: Getty Images Gavin Gwynne's long-awaited return to action has been confirmed as he gears up to face yet another unbeaten British prospect.  The 35-year-old's most recent ring appearance came back in November when his rematch with Cameron Vuong was declared a majority draw after a competitive 10-rounds in Birmingham.  It had been argued that Gwynne had done more than enough to get his hand raised in both of his showdowns with Vuong, but it wasn't to be for the former British, European and Commonwealth lightweight champion.  With his 25th professional ring appearance on the horizon, Gwynne is set to lock horns with another undefeated Englishman who has been tipped to achieve big things on the domestic scene.  As revealed by Queensberry Promotions on Thursday evening , Gwynne will face Bolton's Khaleel Majid in a ten round super-lightweight clash on Saturday May 9.
