Cardiff's Carvell Crocker has captured the first title of his professional career with an impressive victory on the road.
The 26-year-old outpointed Connan Murray to claim the Commonwealth International super-welterweight crown at the Magna Center in Rotherham on Saturday night.
Crocker suffered the first defeat of his career following his Welsh middleweight title challenge against Willy Gilheaney last August but wasted no time in getting back into the swing of things when he secured a shot at Commonwealth honours.
Crocker has gone from strength-to-strength under the tutelage of Welsh great Gary Lockett who has played a key role in the success of the newly-crowned Commonwealth International champion since he made his debut four years ago.
After picking up the 9th win of his career as well as his first title, Crocker will have his sights set on advancing further with the possibility of pushing towards a shot at the British super-welterweight title will surely be of interest for the 26-year-old.
