Cardigan's stand-out amateur star Mikey O'Sullivan will make his much-anticipated return to the ring next month following a successful professional debut.

The 20-year-old made his way into the paid ranks back in April when he faced Nicaragua's Jose Manuel Perez on the undercard of Lauren Price's world welterweight title defence at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff.

O'Sullivan put on an impressive display against the durable Central American to get the nod on the referees scorecard after four dominant rounds.

During his outstanding amateur tenure, O'Sullivan became a Welsh champion on five occasions as well as capturing a Bronze Medal at the 2024 U18 World Championships in Colorado.

As he prepares to cement his status as one of the brightest prospects on the domestic scene, O'Sullivan's second professional outing has now been confirmed.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, O'Sullivan will return to the ring in a four round clash against Mexico's Jorge Balleza on Friday July 24.

The event itself will be promoted by Real Boxing Champions and will take place at The Hideout Arena in Farnworth.

All eyes will be on O'Sullivan once again as he looks to make it 2-0 as a professional and prove exactly why there are such high hopes for the highly talented 20-year-old.
