Rhys Edwards' opportunity at becoming the British Featherweight champion slipped through his fingers after his showdown with Gully Powar was declared a majority decision draw.
The popular Welsh star put on an impressive display against his English rival on Saturday night but ultimately fell short after an entertaining 12-rounds at the Utilita Arena.
Two out of the three judges at ringside scored the bout 114-114, meaning neither fighter would be taking the coveted Lord Lonsdale Belt home with them.
Edwards put on an outstanding defensive display against his English rival and was able to catch him with a number of stinging shots throughout.
Powar had his fair share of success however as he was able to force Edwards onto the ropes on a number of occasions, although many of the shots collided with the gloves and arms of the Welshman.
It's no secret that both fighters will be keen on doing battle once more in what promises to be yet another thrilling encounter between the domestic duo.
